Which Dress Should I Wear To Prom?
I am going to my junior prom with a group of girlfriends is it still okay to wear a formal dress. I 've been waiting to wear my sisters old but beautiful prom dress for 3 years and I had planned on it until my friends said they were all wearing simple dresses. 20 years later, I still remember my junior prom dress. I loved it. A light brown shantung silk knee length dress with spaghetti straps and slit on the side that cost $114. I paid for most of it with the change I saved. I had a great time at my junior prom, but I really loved my dress. I would wear it again today if I could. It resonated with who I was and still am. Great design, quality, fun and flirty, and one of kind. My senior prom I went with the traditional princess gown look, it was alright. I looked beautiful of course but it was more of what I thought I should wear rather than wearing what was actually my aesthetic and personal style. I write all this to say, whether its junior, or senior prom or a Tuesday, you wear what feels right for you. 20 years later when you are looking back at your best memories of junior prom let one of those be you wore what you wanted.
